As the topic of the song is death I am considering using dark colours and lighting to create emotions such as despair and perhaps fear within the viewer. Gothic art has given me a few ideas and visual concepts to consider. However, while looking at Romanesque art I discovered paintings such at this one. It's religious roots and themes could also be used in my music video. As the topic is death this could be linked into my work. As I have mentioned to my participants I could use a church as the location for my artists. In addition, as Romanesque Art was roughly 1000 years ago it also cretaes the sense of timelessness. Themes such a bereavement and love are also timeless. Furthermore, the colours used are warm and are rich in their saturation. The sepia and red tones have a nostalgic feel and bring together the themes of religion and love. This links very much to a church and someone who has recently lost their loved one.
