Research - Evaluation of a Previous Survey/Questionnaire

This is NOT my survey/results - I am only analysing this to learn from it:

I want to create a survey/questionnaire that included open and closed questions, to gain as much valid and reliable data as possible. However, before I make my questionnaire I wanted to see the mistakes that previous surveys had made. This questionnaire is from a previous year therefore made by another student/group - by Drew Middleton on Jul 19, 2010.

My Evaluation of a Former Students Survey (by Drew Middleton on Jul 19, 2010)

Firstly, the first question is not relevant, how the audience will view the music video will/should have no effect on the music video itself. It does not matter how people watch the film but instead - why they watch it. In addition question three and nine are completely dependent on the song that is chosen therefore it could be seen as not important in determining the content of the music video. I like question four as I feel it is a vital question that producers must ask themselves very early on in the creative process and planning. Furthermore, I believe question ten is very close to being incredibly useful. Drew asks the names of two music videos which the participant answerng the questionnaire has enjoyed. However he does not ask the key questoion - why? Why did you like them. This is what I aim to achieve when making my survey - what makes a good music video and what themes are most popular. In my questionnaire I also hope to ask people for advice as well as other open ended (unstructured)  and closed (structured) questions as Drew has.
