Inspiration - An idea from a Film

This may seem like a rather odd film to gain inspiration from for a rock band's music video however there is one aspect of this film which I particularly admire:


Throughout the entire film there are parallel story lines that share one theme (love/romance/humour) using parallel editing. I like the fact that these story lines are separate yet linked with one common theme. However, the aspect I truly admire is towards the end of the film. The numerous story lines/narratives converge, they come together in one scene/location (at the school show).  Suddenly, the characters and narratives that were once separate are not anymore! I like this as I feel it concludes the stories in a clever way as it gives closure to each storyline all at once.

I too hope I am able to do this in my music video, perhaps between the artists and the narrative or the main band singer and the rest of the band.
